End to Movember moustache growing

Canterbury Moustache League has had an amazing month and have raised $5,955 so far which is a fantastic achievement considering the fundraising goal was set at $5,000. Canterbury has pledged to match every dollar raised by staff which means the Movember Foundation will be receiving a generous cheque from us next week. 

Thank you so much to the sixty-two Mo Bros and Mo Sistas who participated in this special month in support of men's health – we couldn't have done it without you!

Pre-construction works have begun

The first stage of Canterbury’s renovations have commenced with excavations underneath Flame Pizza + Grill to prepare for future back of house works. This initial construction work involves the excavation underneath Flame but will only result in minimal disruption to Members and Guests. Flame is now closed for lunch on Wednesday and Thursday because of the excavation noise but it still trades for lunch Friday to Sunday. Dinner and breakfast trade is unaffected.

School multicultural festival bringing students together

Face painting, competitions, food stalls, performances and fun sporting activities transformed the grounds of Canterbury Boys High School (CBHS) for their annual Cantervale festival on Friday 14 November.

Sponsored by Canterbury League Club, Cantervale is a celebration of cultural diversity within the school’s student population – 92 per cent of CBHS students come from a non-English speaking background.

A Canterbury League Club donation of $20,000 to Variety – the Children’s Charity really has the ability to create wonders for children who are sick, disadvantaged or have special needs.

This is the story of four-year-old Harry from Ashbury, one of the lucky recipients who received a new walker through a portion of Canterbury’s contribution.
