Coaches and participants discover their ability to lead their own lives effectively, to lead others in a team, and to make a difference in their community.

Supporting St Basil's

Canterbury has been proudly supporting St Basil's Homes to improve the lives of their elderly residents through the ClubGrants scheme. This month Canterbury has pledged $50,000 to fund two worthy projects. This financial support will fund the St Basil’s Men’s Shed & Nursing Home Lifestyle project.  The funds will allow St Basil’s to support the appointment of a Part Time Coordinator to oversee the running of the Men’s Shed, as well as the ongoing program costs.

Canterbury Supports Coats for the Homeless

Canterbury is proud to support the Order of Malta with their ‘Coats for the Homeless’ program by donating $2,000.

Every day, almost 20,000 homeless Australian’s are sleeping rough on the streets of our cities and towns. Half of the homeless seeking accommodation are turned away, leaving them exposed not only to the cold, but other dangers as well. In response to these needs that the ‘Coats for the Homeless’ program started over ten years ago.
