NRL Grand Final – Frequently Asked Questions

Q.         Can I reserve a spot to watch the Grand Final at Canterbury League Club?

A.         Yes. You will be able to purchase a ticket to various different functions. Details about the various options are available here and tickets will go on sale at 12noon Monday 29 September.


Q.         Are there areas where I can watch the game for free at Canterbury League Club?

A.         Yes. The Bulldogs Sports Bar, the Indoor Sports Bar and the Banyan Brasserie will be available to Members on a strictly first come first served basis.


Q.         I am going to the match at ANZ Stadium. Will I be able to get into the Club after the match?

A.         We expect the Club to be at full capacity during and after the game and, because of these circumstances, access to the Club after the game will only be available if there is sufficient capacity within the Club at that time. Access will be made available on a first-come-first-served basis.

Q.         If I purchase a ticket to watch the game in a function room can I go home and come back later?

A.         There will be no pass outs issued after 2:30pm. If you choose to leave the Club after this time you will need to surrender your ticket and there is no guarantee that you will be allowed back. If you do choose to come back in you will need to purchase a new ticket subject to availability. Once the venue reaches capacity, for the safety of patrons, no further access will be permitted.

Q.         Can I purchase tickets on behalf of other Members?

A.         Yes. You can purchase tickets on behalf of other Members, however you will need to accompany everyone when you collect your tickets.


Q.        Is there a limit to how many tickets I can purchase?

A.        There is a limit for the Big Game Package in the Paragon Room. A limit of 6 tickets can be purchased per Member. There is no limit for all other pre booked packages but please note that Members may sign in up to six guests only.


Q.       Can I purchase my NRL Grand Final Package using my Engage Rewards points?

A.        Yes. You can use your Engage Rewards points to purchase a package in person at reception.
 

Q.         I am not a Canterbury League Club Member, can I still watch the game at the League Club?

A.         Only Members and their guests can enter the Club on NRL Grand Final day on a first come first served basis. Members may sign in up to six guests. There is no visitor access on NRL Grand Final Day.

Q.         Can I join Canterbury League Club on NRL Grand Final Day to watch the game?

A.         Yes. You will be able to join the Club on the day, however keep in mind that it will be very busy and we recommend that if you wish to join that you come in during the week to join up prior to Grand Final Day.

Q.         Can I bring my children with me to watch the game at Canterbury?

A.         Children will be permitted to watch the game in the Banyan Brasserie. The capacity of the Banyan Brasserie is strictly limited on a first come first served basis. Children over 12 years of age may also attend the Functions in Flame Pizza + Grill or Blueberry Hill if they have a ticket.

Q.         Can I book into Flame Pizza + Grill for breakfast, lunch or dinner on NRL Grand Final Day?

A.         Flame Pizza + Grill will be available for breakfast and lunch on NRL Grand Final Day for pre-booked reservations only. If you would like to make a reservation contact the Club on 9704 7777. Flame Pizza + Grill will be available to book as part of an NRL Grand Final Package for dinner for $110 per head. Q.         Can I book into Dynasty for lunch or dinner on NRL Grand Final Day?

A.         Dynasty will be open as per normal for lunch and will be available to book as part of an NRL Grand Final Function for dinner contact 9704 7704 for further details.


Q.         Will Banyan be open for lunch or dinner on NRL Grand Final Day?

A.         The Banyan Brasserie will open for lunch and dinner on NRL Grand Final Day but will be converted into a family viewing area for the game. Click here for details

Q.         Will the TAB be open on Grand Final Day?

A.         The TAB is located in the Bulldogs Bar so Members who are in this area will be able to use the TAB. Subject to capacity Members with access to other areas may be permitted to access the Bulldogs Bar earlier in the day if they wish to place a bet.
